Keeping our Eyes and Minds Open to the Impact of AI

AI is part of our everyday life and the challenge is to understand both its evolving implications and unintended consequences.
The latest article from Safe on Social sounds like science fiction but may be closer to reality than we imagine. It is quite a sobering read but will it appear sobering to our young people, many of whom relinquished their digital privacy through well meaning photos and posts in social media from the day they were born?
In school, we are beginning to address the issues of AI- both the positive and negative. There are changes to our assessment design to reduce the use of AI that may count for credits.
We are cognisant of using AI within school accounts that offer us more digital privacy than open AI platforms. However, there is much to be done to keep up with the fast pace in which AI weaves itself into our lives.
