Important Uniform and Attendance Reminders

As the year goes on, some of the good intentions students and whānau begin the year with, start to fall aside. Please ensure uniform is being worn correctly. Any jewellery and incorrect uniform is confiscated until the end of the term - it would be great not to have to do this. We are proud of our college and part of school pride is the outward expression of how our students present themselves.

Another reminder is about attendance. We have had a number of students signing in late this week with the reasons being 'sleeping in' or 'missing the bus'. Being on time is expected in a workplace and practicing this as teenagers is invaluable so it can become a habit. If you can sort this issue at home, we would appreciate it, and your child will thank you for it in years to come. Class starts at 8.50am. Coming in late means lost learning as well as disruption for the class and teacher.

If students are required to leave school for a valid reason, they will not be permitted to do that until this has been verified with a parent and the student signs out in the office. It will help our wonderful office staff immeasurably if this can be arranged in advance. Thank you for your cooperation.
