Calling Rangatahi to join Sport Otago Panel

Sport Otago is currently looking for rangatahi to join our Rakatahi Panel. We are especially encouraging applications from rakatahi in the Year 9-11 age range, however anyone interested is more than welcome to apply. We are looking for young people who are passionate about having their voices heard, contributing ideas, and helping shape opportunities for rangatahi across Otago.

Last year our Rakatahi Panel had input into a range of meaningful kaupapa, including:

• Tū Manawa funding decision making

• Presentations advocating for the inclusion of youth voice in programme design. Including speaking at a PENZ panel to kaiako from kura across the region, alongside tauira studying education and physical education

• Regional strategy discussions and programme design

Being part of the panel is a great opportunity for rangatahi to build confidence, leadership skills, connections, and gain real-world experience contributing to decision making processes.
