A Special Initiative - Hospital Cards

By Ethan Then | Posted: Thursday July 2, 2026

Thank you to 8HEN, 8KEN and 8ROD who have taken part in our Hospital Cards Initiative so far.

Your artistic talent and heartfelt messages have helped create a collection of wonderful cards that will be delivered to patients staying in the hospital's children's ward to offer encouragement, hope, and a reminder that others are thinking of them.

The initiative aims to show that simple acts of kindness can have a real, meaningful impact on people who may be facing illness, long hospital stays, or difficult circumstances. By taking the time to write a thoughtful message or illustrate a joyful drawing, students are helping to make another kid's day a little brighter.

The response and output from participating classes has been fantastic, and it has been encouraging to see these students embrace the opportunity to serve others in such a practical way.

We look forward to sharing more of these brilliant cards (including 8ROD who are currently on cards this week) as more classes take part in this initiative next term.

Thank you once again to every student and teacher who has supported the initiative. Your kindness is making a real difference in our community.

My apologies to 8HEN, I wasn't able to capture a photo of your fantastic cards before they were delivered. As the very first class to take part in this, images of your cards helped set the standard and inspired the wonderful response we've seen from other classes. Thank you for the effort you put in.

Lastly, thank you to Mrs Harris for helping to coordinate and make this initiative able to happen!
