Course Outline

Level 1 English focuses on developing essential skills in reading, writing, and critical thinking. The course offers an engaging exploration of language through a wide range of texts, from novels and poetry to film, drawing on voices from both Aotearoa New Zealand and around the world. This course strengthens clear communication and prepares students for further NCEA English study.
